Liposuction
Liposuction aims to remove localised areas of fat to improve the body’s contour using carefully chosen, minimal incisions. Areas commonly treated and improved by liposuction include the hips, thighs, knees, breasts, abdomen and arms. Patients need to be aware that liposuction is not a weight loss procedure or cure for cellulite. Results are most effective on patients who are at a relatively normal body weight and with good skin elasticity and it may take some months for the results to become fully evident. Liposuction surgery should always be supported by an ongoing healthy diet and regular exercise routine.
Liposuction, additionally, may provide a remedy to the removal of small, stubborn pockets of fat that prove impossible to budge through exercise and diet. Very good cosmetic results can be achieved in these areas and if appropriate, liposuction can sometimes be performed under local anaesthesia on small fatty areas as an outpatient procedure.
Mr Turner has vast experience in all forms of liposuction including liposculpture, suction assisted liposuction, tumescent liposuction and ultrasonic liposuction. The form of liposuction used is quite specific to the needs of the patient, for example did you know some commonly used forms of liposuction are better suited to males than females? Consultation with Mr Turner will determine a method suitable to the needs of the patient.
Mr. Turner may also combine liposuction with other surgical procedures such as facial rejuvenation, breast reduction or tummy tuck, to further enhance cosmetic surgical results.
